Our Planning Time Together

Jordan and I started planning together 6 weeks before the wedding. Our 6 weeks together was even more special because we actually went to college together at Georgia College & State University! It was so fun to get to not only help an old friend tie the details of her wedding day together, but also catching up each week we chatted! Jordan mom, Donna, was also super involved in the planning process and I loved getting to know her. Together, Jordan and Donna were on top of wedding plans and their to-do lists!

Wedding Day

On wedding day Jordan wore a princess-like, A-line gown, with a lace bodice and detailed straps. She wore her hair in a gorgeous up-do, topped with a cathedral-length veil with horsehair trim. The bridesmaids wore long, dusty-blue gowns with a criss-crossed neckline. The bouquets featured white Black Eyed Beaty Anemones, white roses, and seeded eucalyptus. Jordan’s bouquet was definitely the focal point with it’s full shape, and large white garden roses.

The groomsmen wore traditional black tuxes and eucalyptus and blue thistle boutonnieres, while Justin stood out perfectly with his Black Eyed Beauty Anemone boutonniere.

The entire wedding party got ready in their respective areas (girls in the bridal suite and guys in the groom’s room) at the venue. They had food and refreshments brought in for lunch and had a good ole time relaxing and preparing for the day together.

Getting Ready & First Looks

Once the hair and makeup team had worked their magic, it was time for Jordan to put on her dress. Once the dress was on, it was time to show the girls. They were all so sweet, oooing and awing at Jordan in her gorgeous dress and veil. After the bridesmaid reveal, it was time to show Dad her completed bridal look. I definitely snuck some peaks at this moment – it was such a tear jerker!

Finally, it was time for Jordan & Justin’s first look. They shared their moment together, just the two of them. It was super sweet and was packed full of smiles and even a few tears.

One detail I skipped over was the fact that not long before Jordan & Justin’s first look, Justin ripped his tux pants! The guys were taking their pictures and of course struck a few goofy poses and ripppp, there goes the pants. Luckily I had my handy-dandy sewing kit and was able to stitch them up really quickly!

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in Empire Mill’s Marsden Hall. Marsden Hall features an immaculate chandelier, brick walls, and sliding farm doors. J L Designs set up two pedestals with large floral arrangements atop that adorned each side of the stairs leading up to the stage with .

After the parents and grandparents were seated, Justin and the officiant were in place, and the wedding party entered, the string quartet and pianist changed the music and the guests rose to their feet. With a double door entrance, Jordan and her dad entered the building and walked down the aisle – smiles and tears perfectly in place.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour at the bar and family took photos in the courtyard.

During cocktail hour, our team, alongside the venue and catering team, put the finishing touches on the reception room. Dinner tables were topped with ivory linens, white salad plates, glass water goblets, wood-block table numbers, and various eucalyptus, white rose, and white hydrangea centerpieces. The wedding party had a gorgeous farm-table head table that sat perfectly as the focal point of the room.

Dinner

After cocktail hour and formal pictures came to an end, the guests made their way to the guest tables to find their seats. The wedding party was introduced and Jordan & Justin enjoyed their incredible first dance to “Die a Happy Man” by Thomas Rhett. The father-daughter and mother-son dances flowed nicely after. Jordan’s dad then gave a brief welcome speech and blessed the food. Dinner was served.

The Reception & Party

While guests were finishing dinner, toasts were made by Maid of Honor, Hunter and Best Man, Jared!  Post-toasts was the perfect time to cut into their stunning, three tiered, semi-naked cake.

After the wedding cake, the dance floor was officially opened and the crowd danced and sang until it was time for sendoff.

Everyone lined the courtyard and held their sparklers high as Jordan & Justin ran through to their gettaway car.

It was a day filled with so much joy.

 Congratulations to Jordan & Justin!
